Inside the Mind of an Highschooler

Image
Hey there, I'm Reianne, and I'm here to give you a glimpse into my life as a 15-year-old high school student. I might not be the most outspoken or the top student in the class, but I've got a world of my own, filled with unique experiences and a passion for the quieter things in life. https://ischoolsapabella.wordpress.com/about/about-isnhs/ I am quite silent between my peers at school, it might be because i am more shy when there are more people around me but if you're a close friend i would be loud that's because i enjoy the time im having with my Friends.  Now, when it comes to academics, I fall into the "average" category. I'm not the kind of student who raises their hand all the time or rushes to answer every question. I take my time to understand things thoroughly. W hile I might not be the most vocal in class i am always listening until I fully understand the lesson that is being given. My interests and hobbies reflect my personal growth. I am

The Last Quarter ft. Reianne

Image
Reflecting on this final quarter, I've gained valuable insights across different subjects. In ICT, I delved into understanding various cable types, while in science, chemistry fascinated me, especially when exploring their combinations. In Filipino class, delving into Jose Rizal's novel "El Filibusterismo" enriched my understanding of our culture and history, among other learnings that are hard to put into words. However, I encountered a significant challenge this quarter: battling a growing sense of laziness that hindered my comprehension of certain lessons. Despite this hurdle, I persevered, pushing myself to give my absolute best. How did I overcome these challenges? With the unwavering support of my friends, who became my pillars of self-improvement. Their assistance and encouragement were invaluable, and I'm endlessly grateful for their presence in my journey. As we prepare to bid farewell to high school and embark on our senior high school journey, I'll

Becoming a game developer has always been my dream, stemming from a desire to bring joy and entertainment to others through the medium of gaming. From a young age, I've been captivated by the idea of creating experiences that allow people to escape into new worlds, have fun, and be entertained. As I look ahead to my future, I anticipate it to be filled with surprises and challenges, each one presenting an opportunity for growth and improvement. I firmly believe in the adage "no pain, no gain," understanding that overcoming obstacles will only make me stronger and more resilient in pursuit of my goals. My Journey to Change: A 10th Grader's Perspective

Image
When I think about changing the world, it feels like staring at a giant puzzle with no clear starting point. It's this big idea that sounds noble but also overwhelming. But here's the thing: I believe it's possible, and I believe each of us, no matter how young, can make a difference. So, where do we start? Well, I've been thinking a lot about this lately. First off, I've realized that change begins with me, with us. It's about looking at ourselves and figuring out what really matters to us. For me, it's things like the environment, fairness, and education. These are the issues that get me fired up. Once I know what I care about, I dive into learning. I read articles, watch documentaries, and talk to people who know more than I do. Because let's face it, I'm still learning, and there's so much out there I don't know yet. But that's okay. Learning is part of the journey. Then comes the fun part: taking action. It doesn't have to be any

This significant day serves as a reminder of the indomitable spirit and unwavering courage displayed by the Filipino soldiers who fought valiantly against Japanese forces during the occupation of the Philippines. Despite facing overwhelming odds and limited resources, these brave men and women displayed extraordinary valor in defense of their homeland, inspiring future generations with their acts of heroism. During World War II, the Philippines became a crucial battleground in the Pacific theater, and Filipino soldiers played a pivotal role in the conflict. AGRICULTURAL BUSINESS OF STA CATALINA

Image
In our community-based research, my team embarked on interactions with the citizens of Sta. Catalina, aiming to glean insights into their way of life. While I unfortunately missed the initial meetup due to late notification, I remained committed to contributing to our study. From the feedback of my team members, it became evident that the younger generation in Sta. Catalina tends to be more indoors-oriented, largely due to the pervasive influence of technology. As our study progressed, our team engaged with adult citizens who graciously shared their perspectives and experiences. Through these interactions, we arrived at the conclusion that Sta. Catalina's agricultural industry primarily sustains basic necessities, without significant surplus for economic growth. Sta. Catalina emerges as a tranquil municipality, distinct from bustling urban centers. Its serene ambiance offers solace and rejuvenation to weary souls, serving as a sanctuary for those seeking respite. The idyllic scene

3rd Quarter Done!!

Image
Reflecting on the third quarter, I've gained a deeper understanding of various subjects and discovered new interests along the way. Through engaging discussions and hands-on activities, I've learned to appreciate the complexities of science and the nuances of literature. Additionally, I've discovered my passion for computer programming, finding joy in solving coding challenges and creating innovative projects. However, this quarter hasn't been without its challenges. Balancing academics with extracurricular activities and personal commitments proved to be demanding at times. The pressure to excel in all areas led to moments of stress and fatigue, especially when faced with looming deadlines and exams. To address these challenges, I've learned to prioritize tasks and manage my time more effectively. By breaking down larger tasks into smaller, manageable steps, I was able to tackle them with greater efficiency. Seeking support from teachers and classmates also proved

122nd High School Day

Image
The 122nd High School Day Celebration of our school was a vibrant tapestry of colors, sounds, and community spirit. The festivities commenced with a lively parade through the historic streets of Vigan, our enthusiastic procession adding a youthful energy to the city's timeless charm. As we marched in unison, banners waving proudly, we felt a sense of camaraderie and pride in representing our school. The highlight of the day was the exhilarating showcase of talent during the dance performances. Each grade level brought their unique flair to the stage, captivating the audience with choreography that ranged from graceful to dynamic. As a tenth grader, I had the honor of participating in the Sinulog festival dance, where we immersed ourselves in the rhythmic beats and vibrant movements of this cultural tradition. In addition to the lively dances, we were treated to a memorable school concert for a cause, where students and teachers alike took to the stage to share their musical talent

National Women's Month

Image
The upcoming National Women's Month Celebration carries forward the powerful theme, "WE for gender equality and inclusive society." This theme goes beyond mere acknowledgment of women's rights. It emphasizes the crucial role of networks in achieving lasting progress towards Gender Equality and Women's Empowerment (GEWE). Strong, compassionate, and harmonized networks are the bedrock upon which a truly inclusive society can be built. Imagine a network that functions as a safety net for women. Here, encouragement and support flow freely. Women can share their experiences, challenges, and aspirations without fear of judgment. This sense of community fosters trust and empowers them to believe in themselves and their potential. Compassionate networks offer mentorship opportunities, connect women with resources, and celebrate their achievements. This fosters a nurturing environment where women can learn from each other, build confidence, and find the strength to pursue

Entrepeneureship Ict Booth Event!!

Image
The ICT Booth event, organized by the ICT Club, seamlessly combined technology and companionship, making a significant impact on all who attended. It brought students together for a fun-filled evening of entertainment, camaraderie, and delicious treats. What made this event special was its ability to create lasting connections and happiness among participants. As soon as I arrived, various activities were in full swing. Students in home economics proudly presented their culinary creations while sporting aprons. A thrift shop named "Ukay-ukay" featured an array of budget-friendly clothing options alongside charming satin roses. Moreover, there was a dedicated "Quote Corner," providing attendees with inspirational messages. Additionally, Grade 8 students showcased a poignant romantic film, adding depth to the event's experience. Despite its tragic elements, the overall atmosphere was truly remarkable. The Valentines Day

Image
As Valentine's Day rolls around, the buzz of couples exchanging roses and chocolates is palpable in the bustling hallways of high school. But for a 10th grader facing the day without a significant other, it can feel like a solo journey amidst a sea of budding romances. However, this doesn't mean the day has to be any less special. For those without a Valentine, February 14th can transform from a day of romantic love into a celebration of self-love and friendship, a chance to appreciate the love that exists in all forms around us. For a 10th grader, Valentine's Day can be an excellent opportunity to reflect on personal growth and the importance of self-appreciation. Without the pressure to plan the perfect date or find the ideal gift, one can focus on self-care and the things that bring personal joy. It's an ideal time to dive into a favorite book, indulge in a hobby, or treat oneself to a movie or a favorite snack. The day can also be an impetus to set new goals or to

2nd Quarter reflection

Image
Throughout the second quarter of my grade 10 journey, I've encountered numerous learning opportunities and discoveries. One significant realization was the importance of time management and prioritization. Balancing academic demands, extracurricular activities, and personal commitments taught me valuable lessons in organization and efficiency. However, along with these revelations came challenges. Juggling multiple responsibilities sometimes led to feelings of overwhelm and stress. Additionally, adapting to new learning formats and technologies presented its own set of obstacles. To address these challenges, I implemented strategies such as creating detailed schedules, breaking tasks into smaller manageable chunks, and seeking support from teachers and peers. Embracing a growth mindset, I viewed setbacks as opportunities for learning and improvement rather than roadblocks to success. Moving forward, I am committed to refining my time management skills, enhancing my adaptability, an

New Year New Me

Image
As a student, theturn of the calendar holds a unique significance. It's not just a fresh start for the world, but also a marker for another academic year, filled with new challenges, opportunities, and experiences. The "New Year, New Me! " sentiment takes on a special meaning, tinged with the excitement of uncharted territory and the nostalgia of lessons learned. This year, the "New Me" whispers promises of late-night study sessions fueled by ambition and camaraderie, of textbooks devoured with newfound curiosity, and of presentations delivered with newfound confidence. It dreams of friendships forged in shared struggles and triumphs, of moments of clarity under the library's fluorescent lights, and of discoveries that spark a passion for a chosen field. Yet, it also acknowledges the bittersweet farewell to familiar routines and cherished memories. We carry the weight of experiences, both joyful and challenging, as we step into the new y
